There is nothing more important to me in my life than baseball. I know that sounds weird--the most important thing in my life is a game. To me, baseball is so much more than just a game. It is an institution that has mirrored America's progress (and sometimes, it's lack thereof), and it is a constant. "America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game, is a part of our past. It reminds us all of what once was good, and that could be again." Is there anything more reliable in our lives than baseball? Baseball gives me something to hope for, and something to believe in. It is something that I cannot control, and I put all of my faith into my dear Red Sox. I live for the Red Sox, and perhaps more importantly, I live for baseball. In order to be a Red Sox fan, I have to be a baseball fan. Without baseball, my life would not be worth living to me. I indulge in the legacies past players have left, watch history being made as current players step to the plate, and ream of the accomplishments of future players. Baseball is the one thing that unifies all of us. Regardless of who you root for, at the end of the day, we are all baseball fans. It is my goal in life to leave my mark on the baseball world. I want to share this passion that I have with other fans. I want to enrich their lives with this beautiful game in the way that baseball has enriched mine.I have big dreams, and big goals, and this blog is where it all begins.
